Frequently Asked Questions.

What can I expect on my first visit?

Your initial visit will include a full consultation to give the chiropractor an understanding of your health concerns and problems. They will discuss your medical history and conduct an examination including clinical and chiropractic tests to assess your condition. The Chiropractor will let you know their finding and devise an initial treatment plan.

What clothes should I wear for my appointment?

We generally recommend wearing comfortable flexible layers that don't restrict your movement. Light tops, shirts, t-shirts and trousers or sportwear are all ideal. If you have a heavy jacket or winter jumper on we may ask you to remove it to assist with accurate posture assessment.

How long does it take to get better?

Healing time varies from individual to individual. It can very much depend on how long the problem has been there, how severe the problem is, how complex the problem and how well the patient responds to treatment. Outside factors such as work and lifestyle can also affect healing time. The chiropractor will regularly reassess your treatment plan based on your progress.

Does treatment hurt?

Chiropractic treatment does not usually hurt, although some kinds of treatment can be quite uncomfortable. Most people find that chiropractic treatment relieves pain, pressure and helps restores they body's natural movement. Some patients who are already in pain when they first come to us may feel some temporary discomfort and aching during and in the first couple of days after treatment. This is perfectly normal as your body gets use to the spine being realigned to the correct posture.

I have a very busy schedule, will my appointment take long?

We understand everyone has very busy schedules and fitting treatment in can be a juggling act. However Chiropractic treatment use precise manipulation techniques which quickly stimulates and recalibrates the body. By aligning your body in to the correct position this allows the body to natural heal its self. These techniques are very specific and effective so our appointments only need to take a short time. After your initial visit, subsequent treatments rarely takes as much as 10 mins.
